Geek Girl Of The Week: Jenny Hart

Who: Jenny Hart

Type of Geek: Oh-Sew-Talented Domestic Goddess Geek

As part of the infamous Austin Craft Mafia, Jenny Hart and her company Sublime Stitching have brought embroidery out of the pages of the L.L. Bean catalog and into the hands of crafty divas everywhere. Her revolutionary approach to the handicraft pairs traditional needlework with alternative designs and edgy patterns. (For example. transfer bundles include themes like “Gnomes and Fairies,” “Viva Las Vegas” and “Om Sweet Om.”)

Jenny even packages together a Stitch-It Kit that includes all the materials needed to take a crack at cross-stitching plus an easy-to-follow illustrated instruction booklet that breaks down each stitch. Cheers to you, Jenny Hart, for giving my fellow alt-craft dames and me the itch to stitch!
